Chris Graham is the Head Professional at Ocean Shores Country Club, this is where he can be found and where he provides his coaching services.

A well known local from the Northern Rivers, Chris began his career and developed his passion for the game of golf as a Junior Amateur and PGA trainee at Mullumbimby Golf Club.

Chris continued his career at the Byron Bay Golf Club, working with Rhys Wright and gaining valuable experience in management as well as developing an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the golfing industry.

Chris now manages the Ocean Shores Country Club Pro Shop and, as a PGA Head Professional, coaches members and social players, as well as running an increasingly popular MyGolf Junior Clinic on Thursday afternoons.

In 2017, Chris began as the Head Coach of the North Coast Academy of Sport Junior Golf Development Squad based at Ocean Shores Country Club, coaching twelve selected Junior Golfers each year.

Chris’s dedication and commitment to the game of Golf has seen him grow into a popular and highly skilled golf coach, respected by all in the Northern Rivers golfing community.

Coaching philosophy:

Like all sports golf can be played and enjoyed at many levels. Like other sports, it’s very important to set goals and be clear about expectations in order to create a road map for improved performance. We all need a plan and we all need a way of judging our progress. Playing golf can be immensely satisfying if we set out objectives and work towards them. My teaching philosophy is based on developing a plan with each student and then working through the steps needed to reach each goal. Patience, clarity, fun and focus drive my personal teaching principles. I respect each student’s individuality and tailor my lessons with them to ensure they can reach their maximum potential in an enjoyable and realistic time frame. Golf should be played to be enjoyed as well as to be challenging and creating skills to achieve both is my fundamental wish for my students.
